I wanted to love it

I have fine/medium frizzy wavy hair and I tried the abc shampoo and conditioner before I bleached it and neither were really a game changer until I got my hair bleached. After that the conditioner was just amazing but the shampoo completely dried out and tangled my hair to the point I couldn’t even get my fingers through to wash it! That’s never happened to me before with any shampoo and I was shocked since that wasn’t the case before I bleached it and the shampoo is really supposed to be for that. I really wanted to love it so much but just be careful with this line it could be a hit or miss.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Beautiful curls

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Shampoo is so incredible ! This shampoo, combined with the conditioner is intensely hydrating. This shampoo immediately feels like a game changer, like a wash only used in the finest salons. I could feel my hair instantly start to feel slippery and full of moisture, almost as if my hair had been freshly cut. The smell is fantastic, the lathering action is great, but there is something inherently special about this shampoo. It binds on a deep layer making my hair feel young and healthy. It's phenomenal. I love it because my curls are transformed to silky ringlets that are soft and touchable and defined.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I have relatively healthy

I have relatively healthy bleached hair. My hair is thick and very long. However, because my hair is bleached, I have high porosity hair (I recommend looking into what this means!). When my hair is in protein overload, it is prone to extreme breakage and it is damaged at times. I do not use any heat on it. (Hair rollers are a must!). Anyway, I started using this shampoo and conditioner set because my hair was in protein overload. It makes my hair so smooth, healthy, and extremely shiny. My routine is: Olaplex No. 3 for one hour; this Redken shampoo; this Redken conditioner (leave it in hair for an hour); and this Redken leave in conditioner.

I love this shampoo!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free in exchange for my honest review. This shampoo is definitely a keeper! Not only does it smell amazing but it helps restore my hair and repair damage from coloring and heat styling. I have had problems with thinning the past few years and noticed shedding a lot more than usual. It has made me super self conscious. Using this shampoo has helped that and I don't notice so much hair in the hairbrush or shower anymore. My split ends are starting to repair themselves and my hair is shinier and much softer than ever! I highly recommend this! For best results, follow with Redken acidic bonding lightweight liquid conditioner.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Best Transforming Shampoo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently recieved a free sample of Redkin Acidic Bonding Concentrate Shampoo and absolutely love it! While I was a bit worried that it would be too drying to my hair, it pleasantly surprised me with how much healthier it left my hair and breathed new life back into my hair! This shampoo in combination with the conditioner, has transformed my damaged long hair and made it healthier, softer, stronger, cleaner, fresher, and hydrated. It's definitely also more manageable and I only find myself having to use a small amount because it lathers really well! The scent also smells pleasant! I would highly recommend these products for damaged hair.

Didn't strip hair of moisture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this shampoo because it doesn't strip my hair of moisturize. Most shampoos leave my hair straw like, this one doesn't. It's thick in consistency, It lathers up well and smells nice, mild scent. I think even thought it's meant to be safe for color hair and protect my color from fading, it actually wash my color away. I say this because I used this shampoo a few days after I color my hair and well my color is a few shades light which doesn't usually happen. It's also the shampoo I used the day before I color my hair. I don't know. It's good otherwise. Oh yeah it kind of hard to squeeze shampoo out of bottle for me. A pump may be better.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I wanted to love this

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have vey fine hair and had high hopes for Redken's Acidic Bonding Concentrate Shampoo. It's a bit expensive, so I was excited that Redkin invited me to sample it and give my thoughts on how well it worked for my hair. I used it for 2 weeks, washing every other day. I found that it lathered very well and had a very pleasant smell; however, those were the only positive thigs about this shampoo. It was supposed to strengthen and smooth my hair resulting in less breakage. In reality, I found it to be very drying and it made my fine hair frizzy which resulted in tangles and breakage. I was very disappointed and won't be using this shampoo again.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Redken sent me this free sample through the BzzAgent sampling program. Here's my review. Pros •This is one of the better quality products. •Concentrated therefore you definitely don't need to much to get the job done. •I have very thick wavy/curly hair. Most days difficult to manage because it just does what it wants. After the first few washes with this product, I noticed a difference with being able to actually manage it. • Silky soft. Cons •Product smell wasn't bad but just strong. Reminded me of the hair salon. Didn't care to much for the chemical scent •Ingredients weren't as organic as I'd prefer. Don't like anything harsh or chemicals

Yes, I recommend this product.

Like, not love.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To start, I wash my hair roughly every other day. My scalp gets greasy and my ends are dry. The first time I used the whole set, my hair felt absolutely incredible and I noticed a difference immediately. My scalp didn't get as oily on day two hair so I was excited. When I washed the next time, my hair almost felt like straw; definitely not the same silky feeling from the first wash. So I waited a few weeks and gave it another try and was much happier. While I love the whole system, it isn't something I can use "daily" and since it didn't say how often it should be used, I wasn't entirely sure. This will probably a system I use once or twice a month.

Love this

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Redken Acidic bonding shampoo for free from Bzzagent @Bzzagent in exchange for my review of the product. I have washed my hair several times with this shampoo and I really love the scent and how clean my hair feels after using. I have used other shampoos and this one seems to make my hair smell good and feel so clean. This shampoo is supposed to make your hair feel thicker and make it stronger. I do feel it made my hair feel and seem filler. The only knock I give it is that after washing and drying hair it does seem to be a bit frizzy. After a bit of going through day the frizziness did go away. I would really recommend this product.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Platinum Blonde Necessity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What truly amazed me was how smooth and silky my hair became with this shampoo. It was 14 times smoother, making styling a breeze, and the added conditioning left my locks feeling luxuriously soft. Plus, the reduction in split ends by 82% gave my hair a healthier appearance. It's pH-balanced and works on all hair types, providing not just repair but also intense conditioning and protection against color fading. Citric acid, the hero ingredient, truly works wonders. In short, Redken's Acidic Bonding Concentrate shampoo has become my go-to solution for strong, smooth, and vibrant hair, and I can't recommend it enough for anyone seeking hair transformation.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Relief for my damaged hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My hair needs repair because I am a swimmer (I swim in both chlorine and salt water), I color my hair, and often use heat to curl or straighten it. Yikes. So I want products that can help me strengthen it so it will break less often. Wow the Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Shampoo is great! I love the fresh scent and how just a normal amount of shampoo does a great job of cleansing and repairing my hair. I always used the shampoo in conjunction with the conditioner (Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Lightweight Liquid Conditioner) so I don't know how the shampoo works alone but combined with the conditioner I loved the results.

Yes, I recommend this product.

orange you happy?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn’t know what to think of the Redkin acidic bonding products, but I was kinda pumped to try it. One of our more exclusive salons in my city actually uses it and charges a premium fee. I mean, if people are paying a premium and there is demand, it has gotta be good, right? Let me tell you, it is 100 percent worth it. My hair has never felt so silky, glossy, shiny and soft in my entire life. It has alpha hydroxy acids and considering I know what AHAs generally do for skin, it should come as no surprise that it works wonders on dull, dry, tangly and unruly hair like mine. Added bonus, my hair smelled like oranges, in a GOOD way.

I would purchase this shampoo.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have fine/ thinning hair that is recently dyed and slightly heat damaged and is need of a trim. Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Shampoo has nice consistency and a little goes a long way. The scent is strong but not offensive and dissapates after rinsing. It did leave my hair feeling a bit wiry which I expected from previous experiences with similar products but using in combination with the conditioner adds some moisture. This shampoo worked as expected and I am now interested in the whole line of related products. I received the Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Shampoo in exchange for my honest review and I would purchase and reccomend this shampoo.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Amazing leave in conditioner!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Redken Citric bonding concentrate shampoo worked amazingly on my hair.  The ends of my hair were fried from previously bleaching it and coloring it. When I started Redken the leave in conditioner, I noticed instantly after the first use that it was working.  My hair was just so silky and smooth plus split ends looked a lot less fried. After using it for 2 weeks I must say that this product amazed me even more because of how well it has repaired my damaged split ends and completely restored them. It Also helps with keeping and maintaining healthier looking and feelinghair. It's super silky, smooth and most importantly healthy!

New fav!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using this line for the past couple of weeks, I can successfully say that this is my new favorite for several reasons! Number one, as someone with sensitive skin, this shampoo is gentle enough to not irritate my skin at all. Number two, I have thin hair and typically have a hard time with shampoos being too heavy that they make my hair look flat and oily all the time. BUT, this shampoo is super light compared to many I've tried and leaves my hair looking and feeling amazing even for a few days after my shower!!! I can't recommend it enough. The price is a bit expensive, but so worth it. I will be going back and buying the bigger bottle once I run out!!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Hard NO!

I so wanted to love this line of products. I purchased all three to try. After just two uses of the product I had found sections of my hair that had broken off. To give you an idea of my hair type before you assume the condition of my hair, here it is. My hair is in great shape, I color my hair and do NOT bleach it, it’s fuller and thicker and I typically wash once a week. I do use the REdken All Soft line of products and LOVE them. I also hydrate my hair with a mask weekly and never blow dry and may use a curling iron 2-3 times a month. This will give you an idea of what my hair is like. I suggest you really do your research before trying this line.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Really Shiny

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shampoo/conditioner combo are my new favorites. I dye my hair black to cover a previously bad blond highlights, so after the box dye my hair is dull and dry…. But not anymore. Together the conditioner and shampoo left my over processed hair shiny and smooth. It took about 5 days. I didn't want to leave a review until I actually tried it for the full 5 days. My hair is soft, shiny and really beautiful. I'm so in love with this. The shampoo and conditioner smells very lovely too and it's over powering. I can honestly say that the combo and the price point is so worth it. It's definitely one of those a little goes a long way.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Redken

My hair dresser recommended this Redken line to me for my color treated hair. It has improved the look & feel of my hair. It has a nice citrus scent that I personally enjoy. Cons: price, it doesn’t lather very well so I feel I am using more than needed. And it states to avoid the sun when using to prevent sunburn since it has alpha hydroxy acid… so this product may not be your best option if you live in a warmer climate. In conclusion: nice product, I would recommend if it suites your hair needs, but I personally won’t repurchase once I use it all. There are other hair products I enjoy far more. Amazing product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ever since I saw this new product I have been dying to try it. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now. My hair is loving it!! It is comparable to Olaplex, but so much better. If you are looking for a good PH balanced shampoo to help repair and prevent damage to your hair, this is what you need to get. This shampoo does wonders and you can most definitely see the difference after just one use. I noticed that my hair had less shedding while shampooing now from prior shampoo. My hair looks so much healthier and feels soft, smooth and silky after the first wash. Now when I style I have less frizz. My hair feels amazing.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I like it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm reviewing in exchange for a free product. I'll start out by saying that I have only used this shampoo once, so I'm unsure of its long term effectiveness but I will review based on my first use. The shampoo has a nice smell and consistency. It lathers well and I didn't feel the need to lather twice to get my hair clean. My hair was soft and bouncy after washing. I did notice less breakage than usual after my washes which is a huge plus. I think with long term use this shampoo could be very beneficial to my hair. I would say that I recommend this shampoo to anyone wanting something quality and will help with breakage and soften the hair with continued use.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I like it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked this product, both are great if you use them together. The shampoo leaves the hair soft and manageable. But my favorite is the conditioner. It is a cream that is left in the hair for 5 minutes and it is wonderful. It leaves the hair soft and when you stylize it you do not need to add other products since it also acts as a heat protector. And your hair is smooth and frizz-free. I am always looking for products to improve the texture of my hair and I will definitely buy them again. The only thing I didn't like is that it doesn't smell good, it doesn't smell ugly either but it's not a pleasant smell. Not for me.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Perfect for colored and heat-treated hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this, and not having colored hair, and only using heard appliances once or wife a month, gave it a whirl anyways. I wasn’t the biggest fan of it. BUT I let my mom try it, who styles her hair regularly and dyes it. And oh man. It was perfect for her! Her hair is so soft and light now, and smells amazing. It looks great, so I let her have the rest of the bottle. It’s been perfect for her. Literally her new favorite shampoo, and she’s tied them all. She already repurchased the whole system. So maybe for the occasionally styler it might not be the best, but for daily heat-treatment, and even dyed hair it’s amazing.

Salon Quality at Home!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this one time. I got this as a promotion to review the product. It's a concentrate. I have really long and fairly thick hair. As instructions said, I lathered from the mid to ends of my hair. I left on 3 minutes and rinsed. Then I did the same thing with the conditioner and left for 5 min and rinsed. My hair feels a lot softer and my ends do look a lot better. I could not afford to use this but once a week, however, I do believe it's worth the price. These are not real large bottles. I believe I will get 6 good uses out of these with my really long hair. I noticed it does not take as much as my other shampoo and conditioner. I will be buying it too!❤

Yes, I recommend this product.

Adds to cart EVERYTIME

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this shampoo for 3 weeks now and it's made a huge difference in my hair and overall routine. I have fine, thin, curly hair in SE Texas so fighting the frizz is a full time job. I've notice my curl clumps are significantly less frizzy after using this shampoo and conditioner before I put in additional product, which makes a huge difference when styling curly hair. With other shampoos and conditioners I was still wetting and resetting my hair to try and limit frizz before styling. I also like that this system is just a simple shampoo and conditioner. There are so many steps to curly hair already and adding a separate step for a bonder can be a hassle.

Yes, I recommend this product.

one of the best

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I’ve been putting off this review until the very end because I truly wanted to try it out and leave an honest review. I normally use redkin- so switching it up was nice. This has a lemony scent- it’s pleasant, and not to over powering . A little goes a long way as well. I have hair down to my lower back and a quarter size worked for me. As far as my hair goes , this stuff really does make it soft and feels like I just got back from the salon. I normally don’t wash my hair every day but this makes it seem I can go even longer without washing it as it keeps my scalp the perfect ph. Overall, one of the best/better shampoos I’ve used and will buy it again after.

Immediate Noticeable difference

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the whole Redken shampoo, conditioner and leave in conditioner set. There was an immediate difference and I used once a week for three weeks and loved how strong my hair felt. I highlight my hair blonde so the ends of my hair are usually dry and damaged and I loved how soft they felt after using this. One concern was there was a warning on the back of the products not to be exposed to the sun after using. With this going on my scalp it can be hard to stay out of the sun completely. Other than that the packaging was created with recycled plastic and very sleek looking. The product is expensive but worth it!

on the fence, seemed to leave my roots greasy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to like this, I really did. However, it doesn't clean my scalp very well. As soon as my hair dries it looks greasy. I thought maybe something was going on with my hair and used an old shampoo, and when my hair dried out looked fine. Keep in mind, that my hair is fine, but I have a lot of it, also I air dry 99% of the time and solely used these products while testing them. it might work for you, but I don't think the shampoo is worth it. I have progression pictures attached, I haven't cut or dyed my hair since I started and the picture where my hair looks cooler in tone is the most recent. The conditioners did seem to help the ends of my hair though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a professional hair expert in the beauty industry, I am so happy that I was given the opportunity to try this product. My hair is currently damaged from the heat and is chemically treated, this product came at the right time for me. The shampoo not only smells amazing but it Features Citric Acid. The shampoo contains a concentrated bonding care complex that reinforces weak bonds within your hair to improve hair strength. I also love that it is pH-balanced. This shampoo helps to protect against the negative effects of hair coloring, styling tools, and even water. My hair feels so soft, supple and much better than it has in awhile! I highly recommend this shampoo!

Funny Name - Solid Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a fan of Redken products, but having the word "Acidic" in the product name made me a little apprehensive about using this shampoo. However, I'm glad I did. My guess is that this is a response to the popular olaplex products, but I honestly prefer this Redken version. The smell is neutral - nothing strong or chemically. It produced a nice lather and rinsed clean. After using I air-dried my hair like I normally do, and wow - the VOLUME that this gave me was unexpected. I have fine hair that is pretty damaged by highlighting & heat styling and just by air drying it my hair looked smoother with loads more volume.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Made My Hair Soft!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My hair is so soft after using this shampoo. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but I feel a noticeable difference with this shampoo when comparing it to what I normally use. The shampoo is a nice consistency and lathers up nicely. I read on the bottle that it can irritate your eyes, so I try to keep my head tipped back while I am using it. This is a little bit annoying, and I don't have to do this with my other shampoos. Another thing to note is that you need to avoid sun exposure for a while after using it. My hair appears to be less damaged and healthier after using this. All in all, I would recommend this shampoo!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Salon perfect hair at home!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I strip my hair of its color and tone it to get that platinum, frosty look. My hair is pretty damaged due to this so I do all I can to maintain my look & color but also try & keep my hair healthy. I love the it smelled, citrusy with a touch of floral. This made it feel like my hair was clean, manageable, gave it body, and my hair felt soft after use. It also didn't seem to interfere with my color or make it more brassy (maybe just a tiny bit), which some non-color shampoos do. I used it for a few weeks to get the full effect of the product and it did seem to reduce my split ends but not completely. It really give your hair that "after the trip to the salon" feeling.

A little goes a long way

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With shampoos, you never really know what’s gonna happen until you start to lather. With this shampoo I realized that you only need maybe a quarter and 1/2 size dollop to get a good lather & clean…even on long hair. I will admit that the name “acidic bonding” was a little scary. Was it going to tingle?! Lol. Was it going to smell very citrus-y? The answer is No to both. My hair felt clean yet healthy & and not over stripped; which is an important balance. I have fine hair and this did not weigh my hair down. I think it would be suitable for many textures & densities. The fragrance was lovely & not overpowering. Thanks Redken for the Acidic Bonding Concentrate system!

Ruined my friend's hair color

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free in exchange for writing a review. When I realized it's for colored hair, I gave it to a friend who recently got her hair colored by a professional at a salon. While using this shampoo. she saw the color coming out of her hair going into the bathtub. When she was finished, her hair had changed from dark teal to light teal. I feel horrible. I would not have given it to her if I had known it would mess up her hair color. It took 3 trips to the salon to get that color: they had to bleach it, then color it, then add a color protector. All it took was one wash to ruin all that. We both normally love Redken products but this one was an epic fail.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hi Dallas_j! Thank you for taking the time to share your comments about our Acidic Bonding Concentrate Shampoo. We are sorry to hear this product did not meet your expectations. Frequent shampoos, exposure to sun, pollution, salt water, chlorine-treated pools, permanent waves, blow-drying and hair straighteners can cause artificial color to fade. All of our product are gentle and suitable for color treated hair. Your opinion is valuable to us. We will pass it along to our REDKEN Team. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

Best Hair Products Ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is by far the best shampoo I have ever used #GotItFree. The acidic bonding complex is noticeable immediately after one use. I have had difficulty brushing and managing my hair since I was a kid. This product improves my hair drastically, and isn't a temporary fix like leave in conditioner. The feel and look of my hair is smooth and healthy. I had planned to purchase these products on my own, and I was so beyond excited to be chosen to review them! It is always fantastic to review an excellent product that is perfectly designed for someone like myself and has improved my daily life. Thank you Bzzagent and Redken!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Leaves hair soft and volumized

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used the same product for years for my fine, color treated hair. I was skeptical at first because I know how difficult it is to retain my red colored hair and certain shampoos can strip the color. This is highly concentrated as a little goes along way. It's thicker than most shampoos. I wasn't keen on the scent (hence the only reason I gave a 4 star rather than a 5). It lathers so well and I was impressed on how my hair felt after one washing. It was soft and definitely felt healthier with more body than before. My color looked bright and not dull. I would recommend this product for fine, color treated hair.

Yes, I recommend this product.
